Development of Next-Generation Filter 'G Filter'
'Artificial Intelligence+' Feature Also Applied
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Ye-ju] LG Electronics announced on the 16th that it will launch the 2023 model 'LG PuriCare 360° Air Purifier Alpha.'
This new product is equipped with a 'G Filter' that significantly enhances deodorizing performance. According to tests conducted by LG Electronics in collaboration with the global testing and certification organization TUV Rheinland, the cumulative purification amount of the new product for three harmful gases?ammonia, acetic acid, and acetaldehyde?was more than 2.5 times greater compared to the existing model (model name: AS352NSHA).
LG Electronics also applied the 'AI+' function, an energy-saving feature utilizing artificial intelligence technology, to the new product. This function operates at minimum power consumption by turning off the internal fan and dimming the display brightness when indoor air quality remains in the 'Good' state for 5 to 10 minutes. When the air quality changes to 'Poor,' it switches back to normal mode.
LG Electronics will launch the 2023 model 'LG PuriCare 360° Air Purifier Alpha' on the 17th. The new product is equipped with a 'G Filter' that offers deodorization performance more than 2.5 times better than the previous model (model name: AS352NSHA).
The new product inherits the differentiated purification performance unique to the existing LG PuriCare 360° Air Purifier Alpha. Two Clean Boosters deliver purified air up to 9 meters, quickly cleansing the space. Additionally, placing AI sensors in areas requiring indoor air management detects polluted air about 5 minutes faster than using only the air purifier, then purifies the corresponding space.
This product is an UP appliance, allowing users to add desired functions through upgrades even after purchase.
The new LG PuriCare 360° Air Purifier Alpha will be released with purification areas of 114㎡ and 66㎡. It comes in five Objet Collection colors: Nature Green, Nature Sand Beige, Nature Clay Brown, Nature Clay Pink, and Nature Clay Mint. The suggested retail price ranges from 1,490,000 to 1,970,000 KRW.
LG Electronics is also expanding the UP appliance lineup by launching the PuriCare 360° Air Purifier Plus. The new product allows users to change the alert melody from the default sound through upgrades. LG Electronics plans to apply a pet mode upgrade to the Plus model within the year. The new LG PuriCare 360° Air Purifier Plus comes in Creamy Snow color with a variety of lineups covering purification areas from 59㎡ to 100㎡, priced between 999,000 and 1,319,000 KRW.
