This year’s Lunar New Year comprehensive measures in Seongdong-gu place greater emphasis on safety management than ever before. By the 19th of this month, pre-safety inspections will be conducted on multi-use facilities, redevelopment and reconstruction construction sites, and hazardous facilities.
In particular, to prepare for risk situations in crowded areas during the holiday, dangerous facilities will be identified and intensively monitored via CCTV, focusing on Seongsu-dong Cafe Street and Hanyang University Shopping District.
Given the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the emergency quarantine response system will be maintained meticulously during the holiday. To prevent various accidents and minimize residents’ inconvenience during the holiday, the district will focus on six areas: safety, sharing, transportation, resolving residents’ inconveniences, price stabilization, and establishing public service discipline.
First, in response to the winter COVID-19 resurgence and the government’s strengthened overseas entrant management guidelines due to the recent spread of COVID-19 from China, the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters will maintain a 24-hour response system during the holiday. The health center’s screening clinic will also operate normally from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. to ensure seamless quarantine and medical response.
Additionally, special inspections will be conducted on 265 disaster-vulnerable facilities including construction sites, multi-use facilities, and traditional markets.
