[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] Former lawmaker Na Kyung-won rebutted the pro-Yoon faction lawmakers within her party who criticize her as 'anti-Yoon (anti-Yoon Seok-yeol faction)' by saying, "Can a party manipulated by a second Jinbak discriminator really win the general election and protect the Yoon Seok-yeol government?"

On the 15th, she stated on Facebook, "The nightmare of 2016 comes to mind. Our party cannot continue like this."

Former lawmaker Na said, "One morning last fall, someone from the presidential office came to my house," adding, "He offered me the position of vice-chairman of the Low Birthrate and Aging Society Committee."

She continued, "After deep consideration, I accepted it in good faith and took on the role with pride and enthusiasm," and said, "I dare say I worked harder and more practically than any previous vice-chairman. If that was wrong, then it was wrong."

She explained, "Contrary to some political forces' distortions, the position of vice-chairman of the Low Birthrate and Aging Society Committee is neither an official public office nor a full-time position," adding, "Anyone can maintain their original profession in society and perform the role as a non-full-time civilian."

She added, "Eventually, I was directly criticized for introducing overseas policy cases and was attacked with the absurd frame of 'populism,'" and explained, "I judged that it was no longer possible to properly perform my duties, so I expressed my intention to resign."

Former lawmaker Na expressed sincerity in solving the low birthrate and aging problems, saying, "Some talk about 'deals' and 'self-politics.' Such ideas only come from their level."

She said, "It is already clear who contributes to the true success of the Yoon Seok-yeol government and who becomes a burden," and added, "Party members and the public will surely come to know that 'fact' clearly."
