[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Jo] The Police Human Resources Development Institute announced on the 15th that it held a related educational seminar in accordance with the enforcement of the Trafficking in Persons Prevention Act this year.


At the seminar held on the 12th, discussions were held on two topics: ▲ Changes in the role of the police following the enforcement of the Trafficking in Persons Prevention Act ▲ Enforcement of the Trafficking in Persons Prevention Act and victim protection measures. Lawyer Jeongwon Lee (Law Firm Heonwon) and Professor Minkyeong Han of the Korean National Police University served as presenters, respectively.


Song Byeongil, head of the Police Human Resources Development Institute, said, "We will do our best to secure the expertise and strengthen the capabilities of field police officers by reorganizing specialized training courses and subjects in accordance with the enforcement of the Trafficking in Persons Prevention Act."
