[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] President Yoon Suk-yeol emphasized on the 14th, before departing for his tour of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Swiss Davos Forum, that he will "do his best to promote Korea's excellent investment environment and revitalize the economy through export expansion."

President Yoon stated this in a post on his Facebook, saying, "I have focused all my schedules on the economy."

He first mentioned, "I am departing for the UAE for a summit meeting with President Mohamed," adding, "This is the first state visit since the establishment of diplomatic relations with the UAE in 1980. It will serve as an opportunity to elevate the special strategic partnership between the two countries to a higher level."

Accompanied by an economic delegation consisting of about 100 domestic companies, President Yoon also said, "We plan to support our citizens and companies entering the UAE market and discuss cooperation plans with the sovereign wealth fund," emphasizing, "The UAE is a key partner of ours in the fields of nuclear power, energy, investment, and defense. Through economy-centered summit diplomacy, we will strengthen cooperation in various sectors and create an opportunity to overcome complex crises through exports and investment."

He also introduced his schedule in Davos, Switzerland. President Yoon stated, "Through my speech in Davos, I will present a path of solidarity for strengthening supply chains, transitioning to clean energy, and implementing a digital order, imprinting Korea's leading role and determination on the international community," and stressed, "Additionally, I will meet with CEOs of major domestic and international companies to introduce Korea's investment environment and technological competitiveness and seek cooperation plans."
