[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do is increasing the support amounts for energy vouchers and kerosene vouchers.
The county announced on the 13th that the winter energy voucher support rates will be increased by 5,600 KRW for single-person households, 8,000 KRW for two-person households, 10,200 KRW for three-person households, and 13,200 KRW for households of four or more.
This increase was implemented to alleviate the burden on residents caused by the winter cold wave and rising energy prices ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
Additionally, the kerosene voucher support rate has been significantly raised by 207%, from 310,000 KRW to 640,000 KRW, reflecting the recent surge in kerosene prices, and the support period has been extended by one month until April 30.
The energy voucher and kerosene voucher programs support vulnerable energy groups in purchasing electricity, city gas, district heating, kerosene, LPG, and briquettes. Support can be received either through bill deductions or via the National Happiness Card.
The National Happiness Card can be used for direct card payments to each energy supplier for electricity and city gas, and for kerosene, briquettes, and LPG, it can be used at energy voucher affiliated stores (retailers). Payments must be made within the energy voucher usage period.
