According to the province on the 13th, the special audit will examine the execution status of subsidies provided to 1,024 non-profit private organizations in the region from 2018 to 2021.
During the same period, a total of 2,454 organizations received subsidies, with the total amount reaching 27.5702 trillion KRW. Among these, the subsidies received by non-profit private organizations are estimated to be 327.8 billion KRW.
The province plans to inspect the execution status of subsidies received by non-profit private organizations through the Provincial Audit Committee (special audit), while simultaneously conducting self-inspections by each business department. If any issues such as fraudulent receipt are found, additional audits will be carried out.
The special audit is conducted to improve subsidy management practices and promote efficient financial management and budget savings, in line with the growing social interest in subsidy management, including fraudulent receipt of subsidies.
A provincial official stated, “We will check for any fraudulent activities through the audit of the execution status of subsidies provided to non-profit private organizations, etc. We will do our best to eradicate fraudulent receipt of subsidies.”
