[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Com2verse, a metaverse specialist company of Com2us, announced on the 13th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with TG Narae for metaverse technology and business cooperation.
TG Narae is a holding company with subsidiaries such as TG Sambo and TGS, which have led the domestic computer and digital device manufacturing industry. Based on this MOU, Com2verse plans to promote strategic cooperation with TG Narae to build private metaverse spaces.
Com2verse's metaverse is divided into a public area for all users and a private area, which is private land provided to companies and institutions through land sales. In developing and providing related software tailored to the needs and characteristics of tenants in the private area, various collaborations utilizing TG Narae's SI business technology and know-how are expected to be possible.
A virtual cultural and artistic space based on Buam Art Hall will be implemented within Com2verse to offer diverse Korean cultural and artistic performances and content to users worldwide.
Lee Hong-seon, chairman of TG Narae, said, "Through the MOU with Com2verse, which will lead the metaverse platform based on the condensed experience and technology of Com2us, a representative domestic game company, and TG Narae, a pioneer of domestic IT ventures, we will be able to find more market opportunities." He added, "In the future, TG Narae's accumulated diverse experience and know-how in various fields beyond the metaverse sector will create great synergy in expanding the artificial intelligence platform market."
Lee Kyung-il, CEO of Com2verse, stated, "Com2verse recently attracted a cumulative investment of 16 billion KRW and has established strategic partnerships with leading companies across all industries, building the world's largest metaverse alliance. Through cooperation with TG Narae and various other companies in the future, we will establish Com2verse as a leading global metaverse player."
