[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Handmade beer franchise Saenghwal Maekju announced on the 13th that it has launched 'Pineapple Golden Ale' and 'Jeju Kkamang Porter.'
Pineapple Golden Ale was produced in collaboration with Cramery, located in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do. Cramery, based on German brewing techniques and its own European-style recipe, won the Korea Liquor Awards in 2018 and 2019. Pineapple Golden Ale contains a large amount of pineapple to match Cramery's style, offering a refreshing and sweet fruity aroma with a harmonious citrus flavor. It is an ale recommended for consumers who enjoy fruity aromas and cocktails.
Jeju Kkamang Porter was produced in collaboration with Magpie, located in Donghoecheon, Jeju City. Magpie is the oldest brewery in Korea and, true to its name meaning 'magpie,' is a brewer that introduces welcoming beers and beer culture. Based on Magpie's porter (dark beer) recipe, Jeju Kkamang Porter features rich flavors of coffee and dark chocolate, with a light body and smooth finish that cannot be experienced in typical dark beers.
Meanwhile, Saenghwal Maekju currently operates over 200 stores nationwide, including 37 directly managed stores.
