[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Seven Eleven announced on the 13th that it has partnered with the Handon Pork Fund Management Committee to launch the "Handon Pork Rice Bowl" lunchbox.

The Handon Pork Rice Bowl is a product developed and launched as a convenience store lunchbox based on the first-place winning recipe from the "Handon Recipe League" held in October 2021. At that time, over 100 recipes were submitted to the Handon Recipe League, with Ham Shin-ae winning the grand prize in the "Nae-Recipe League" and Kim Da-eun winning the grand prize in the "Diet League" categories.

This product features a highly addictive spicy flavor made with domestic pork, Cheongyang chili peppers, oyster sauce, and teriyaki. It includes stir-fried carrots, pumpkin, and onions to balance nutrition, and adds umami with a hot mayo sauce mixed with Sriracha sauce and Ham Shin-ae's secret sauce.

A Seven Eleven official said, "It is very meaningful not only to promote our domestic pork, Handon, but also to share and enjoy recipes developed directly by customers," adding, "We are pleased to offer young MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) customers an affordable and highly satisfying meal made from recipes created by the customers themselves."
