Seongnam-si to Announce Successful Candidates by the End of This Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyun-joo] Viktor An (37, Korean name An Hyun-soo), known as a short track legend, has started preparations for his return to Korea. On the 12th, he participated in an interview for the coaching position of the Seongnam City Hall skating team held at Seongnam City Hall in Gyeonggi Province.
Viktor An was a leading Korean short track star who won three gold medals at the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics.
However, in 2011, when his then team Seongnam City Hall disbanded the skating team due to financial issues, he naturalized as a Russian citizen to continue his athletic career. Afterwards, as a member of the Russian national team, he participated in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics and won three gold medals.

Meanwhile, Seongnam City plans to announce the successful candidate at the end of this month. There are a total of seven applicants for the coaching position, including Viktor An.
