[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] Naver's simple payment service Naver Pay experienced an outage on the 12th afternoon, during which users were unable to access the service for about an hour, but it has since been restored.
Naver Pay announced on the same day, "The Naver Pay access error and Naver Pay order/payment failure error have been resolved," and apologized, saying, "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused in using the service."
The outage occurred from around 3:20 PM to 4:30 PM, lasting approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.
A Naver official stated, "A temporary error occurred in the DB server," and added, "This is unrelated to the service error on the 5th."
Previously, Naver Pay also experienced a payment error for about 40 minutes on the afternoon of the 5th, a week earlier.
At that time, the error was identified as occurring during system modification work aimed at strengthening the stability of the payment infrastructure.
