Chairman Kim Oh-young said, "I am grateful to Governor Park Wan-su for his special interest and support that made it possible to hold the competition for the underdeveloped winter sports."
He added, "I also thank Chairman Lee Geun-bae of the Gyeongnam Ski Association and all related personnel who worked hard to prepare for the competition," and "I hope the athletes participating in this winter residents festival, held for the first time in three years due to COVID-19, will fully demonstrate the skills they have honed."
He further stated, "The Gyeongnam Sports Council will make efforts to revitalize winter sports, including expanding the scale of the competition, through thorough discussions with Gyeongnam Province and winter sports organizations."
