China's Consumer Prices Rise 1.8% in December

[Asia Economy Beijing=Special Correspondent Kim Hyunjung] China's Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 1.8% in December last year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China announced on the 12th.

The annual consumer price inflation rate for last year was recorded at 2.0%.

The Producer Price Index (PPI) for December fell by 0.7%. On an annual basis last year, it increased by 4.1%.
