[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Saltlux, a leading domestic artificial intelligence (AI) company, announced on the 12th that it confirmed the possibility of exporting core technology by participating in the world's largest IT exhibition, 'CES 2023,' held in Las Vegas, USA, for four days from the 5th to the 8th.
Under the slogan 'Clone Yourself Using AI,' Saltlux attracted great global attention by operating the virtual human 'Han Jia,' which received the Innovation Award from the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), and the Ploonet Studio experience zone, selected as one of Korea's top 10 products. The Saltlux booth was visited by executives and employees of global IT companies from 45 countries worldwide. Not only employees from Amazon, Tesla, Google, NASA, BBC UK, and JP Morgan but also executives from major domestic companies such as SKT, Samsung Electronics, and LG Electronics visited the Saltlux booth.
At the Ploonet Studio experience zone, over 400 people directly experienced creating virtual humans. During the exhibition period, one AI virtual human was created every three minutes. Saltlux's Ploonet Studio is a gem of generative AI technology capable of conversation, as it incorporates not only video synthesis and voice synthesis but also language generation technology like ChatGPT.
Saltlux's Ploonet Studio, selected as one of Korea's top 10 products at CES, utilized Exobrain technology, Korea's most representative AI R&D project. Through the CES exhibition, the possibility of exporting Korea's own core technology was confirmed.
The 'Ploonet Studio' and Metahuman services showcased at CES will be simultaneously launched this March in 36 countries, including the United States. A Saltlux official explained that they secured about 20 local business partners at CES.
