[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Starbucks Korea announced on the 12th that it will launch the ‘Starbucks Home Cafe Latte Set,’ allowing customers to enjoy Starbucks Cafe Latte at home just like in the store.
The Cafe Latte has been Starbucks' second best-selling coffee beverage after Cafe Americano since Starbucks entered Korea in 1999. It is a drink made with espresso and steamed milk, requiring high barista skills to prepare. A perfectly extracted espresso shot is combined with milk steamed to a smooth, velvety texture to create one cup of Cafe Latte.
The Starbucks Home Cafe Latte Set includes a ‘Siren Milk Frother’ that can create velvety milk foam and a dedicated glass cup, making it easier to make cafe latte drinks. Additionally, it contains one type of Starbucks VIA 12-pack (choose one from VIA Colombia, VIA House Blend, VIA Pike Place, VIA Italian Roast) and a 280ml bottle of Starbucks syrup (choose one from Starbucks Vanilla Syrup or Starbucks Hazelnut Syrup).
Kim Sehun, MD Team Leader at Starbucks Korea, said, “As more consumers enjoy Starbucks coffee at home, we planned this set so they can make various types of coffee themselves,” adding, “Through this, customers will be able to experience coffee of a quality similar to that made by Starbucks baristas.”
