New Kids Phone Released Featuring Shinbi Character
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] KT will start selling the LTE-based children’s smartphone 'Shinbi Kids Phone 3,' featuring Shinbi Apartment characters, from the 13th.
The 'KT Shinbi Kids Phone 3' package includes a Samsung Galaxy XCover5 device known for its sturdy durability, a Shinbi School case, a Shinbi necklace strap, a Shinbi name tag, and a Shinbi pencil case decorating set.
The phone is equipped with a 5.3-inch HD+ display, a 16MP front camera and 5MP rear camera, and a 3000mAh removable battery. The retail price is 308,000 KRW. The ‘KT Shinbi Kids Phone 3’ applies the ‘Shinbi School’ theme, where Shinbi Apartment characters go to school, allowing its primary users?elementary school students?to use the device in a friendly way. The ‘Shinbi School’ application, which enables children to study and solve quizzes with friends in an online space, is also included. Children can create avatars and engage in learning activities such as reading books and doing homework with friends in a virtual space. Based on their results, praise stickers are issued, helping to foster children’s independent study habits.
If parents subscribe to a KT 5G plan costing 100,000 KRW or more, the 'Our Child Discount' applies, allowing children to use unlimited calls and texts for around 10,000 KRW. When subscribing to the junior plan, the 'KT Safety Box (3,300 KRW/month)' service is provided free of charge. Parents can check their child’s location, block harmful websites, and manage TV viewing through a smartphone app.
