Homeplus announced on the 12th that it will hold a 'Convenient Lunar New Year Table' event until the 25th of this month in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday. This event, focusing on deli, ready meals, and livestock categories, offers a variety of foods to help customers preparing ancestral rites tables as well as 'Homesuljok' and 'Honsuljok' easily and conveniently create a festive atmosphere.

In the deli category, one of Homeplus's most popular sections, a new menu item called 'Homeplus Table Lunar New Year Assorted Jeon' will be launched. This product features five different types of jeon?spicy pepper jeon, omisanjeok, pollack jeon, donggeurangttaeng, and perilla leaf jeon?carefully prepared in-store and generously packed, priced at 9,990 KRW. Homeplus stated, "Recently, many people have simplified ancestral rites tables or belong to the 'Gwipojok' who do not return to their hometowns, increasing the preference for convenient holiday meals. Above all, customer response to Homeplus deli has been enthusiastic, so we expect this new product to be very popular."

In the ready meals category, products such as rice cake soup rice cakes and frozen jeon varieties that allow customers to quickly set up an ancestral rites table will be offered at a 10% discount for MyHomeplus membership holders. Eight types of rice cake soup rice cakes, including White Sunshine Korean Rice Rice Cake Soup Rice Cakes, will be sold at special prices. New products like the easy-to-enjoy rice cake soup meals made with Korean rice, 'Ddoksal Rice Cake Soup' and 'Perilla Seed Rice Cake Soup,' will also be available at promotional prices. Homeplus Signature beef bone soup and broth in four varieties will be sold at special prices as well.

Various types of jeon, a representative holiday dish, will be prepared and sold at a 10% discount for MyHomeplus membership holders. These include Parkga’s assorted jeon, Homeplus Signature seafood meatballs, Homeplus Signature Home Meal traditional grilled short rib patties, pollack jeon, omisanjeok, and perilla leaf jeon.

In the livestock category, a large-scale galbi festival will be held. Ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, Homeplus held direct meetings with the CEOs of its U.S. local partners in November last year to negotiate increased supply and pricing for steamed galbi, which is in high demand among customers. For this galbi festival, Homeplus secured more than three times the volume compared to last year, totaling 270t, and will offer refrigerated steamed galbi at about 25% lower prices.
