Discovering New Clients by Prioritizing the Environment

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seoyoon] Kolon Industries announced that it will participate in the world's largest flooring exhibition, "Domotex Hannover 2023," held in Hannover, Germany, from the 12th to the 15th (local time). At this exhibition, the company plans to showcase its polyester spunbond (brand name Finon) and accelerate global marketing efforts in the European market.

Since its first event in Hannover, Germany in 1989, "Domotex Hannover" has been held annually, attracting over 1,400 companies from more than 60 countries and more than 35,000 visitors. Kolon Industries has been participating in the exhibition since 2011. This year, the company will focus on introducing bubble paper used in eco-friendly carpets and concentrate on discovering new customers and strengthening partnerships with existing clients.

As the first in the domestic industry to launch products made by recycling waste PET bottles, Kolon Industries has achieved certifications such as the Global Recycle Standard (GRS) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). Through these achievements, the company was the only non-woven fabric manufacturer selected for the special eco-friendly product exhibition "THE GREEN COLLECTION," receiving high evaluations for product quality and environmental friendliness.

Choi Hyunjun, the person in charge of the NON-WOVEN business, stated, "We participated in the exhibition as we saw it as a great opportunity to widely promote Kolon Industries' differentiated polyester spunbond technology in the global market," adding, "We plan to continue sustainable growth by strengthening partnerships with global customers beyond Korea, including Europe."

Meanwhile, polyester spunbond is a non-woven fabric made by bonding long fiber filaments after spinning, used for various purposes such as indoor and automotive carpets, various filters, and construction and civil engineering materials. Since producing polyester spunbond for the first time in Korea in 1985, Kolon Industries has supplied products with high mechanical properties and excellent durability worldwide, based on its accumulated superior technology.
