[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education and the Busan Workers' Health Center will conduct a 'Mobile Medical Service for School Meal Workers' for about 80 school meal workers from the 12th to the 18th.

The mobile medical service, first implemented last year, is a health promotion program designed to increase school meal workers' interest in health management and help manage health problems and risk factors that may arise during work.

This service will be held from 2 p.m. in the auditoriums of five education support offices, and due to limited space, the Dongnae Education Support Office and Seobu Education Support Office will hold the service at nearby schools, Dongnae Middle School and Toseong Elementary School, respectively.

The service is conducted by occupational and environmental medicine specialists from Yangsan Busan National University Hospital, along with nurses, psychological counseling experts, and physical therapists from the Busan Workers' Health Center, who visit each support office to provide various medical services.

They provide school meal workers with various medical services including ▲basic tests such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol ▲guidance on post-management methods based on health checkup results ▲customized exercise management and taping methods to prevent musculoskeletal disorders ▲psychological counseling for job stress management.

Shin Yong-chae, Director of the Safety Planning Division at the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, “The Busan Office of Education provides various health programs to workers, including musculoskeletal disorder management. We will continue to offer worker-tailored health programs to prevent industrial accidents and create a healthy workplace.”
