[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Park Yong-hwa, a member of the Nam-gu Council in Gwangju Metropolitan City, received an honorary diploma from Gwangju Hakgang Elementary School on the 10th.
Councilor Park was recognized for his dedication and service as a safety guide on the way to school for the past 10 years.
Councilor Park said, "What I felt while volunteering for traffic safety is that children really only look straight ahead, and vehicles around the school are driving very fast, so there is no moment free from the risk of accidents."
He added, "I ask that schools place more emphasis on traffic safety education, and that adults do their best to prevent accidents by driving slowly."
