Jeon Jeong-sung, CEO of Daegyeong Safety Consulting, Donates 100 Million Won... Deceased Parents Also Couple Honor Society Members Jeon Jeong-soong, CEO of Daekyung Safety Consulting (second from the left in the photo), is holding a pledge to donate 100 million won.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Koo Dae-seon] The Daegu Community Chest of Korea announced on the 11th that Jeon Jeong-soong (71), CEO of Daegyeong Safety Consulting and CEO of Zauber, donated 100 million won as a contribution to help neighbors, becoming the 214th member of the Daegu Honor Society.

In February 2019, CEO Jeon donated 100 million won for his late mother, Park Young-ja, and in February 2021, he donated another 100 million won for his late father, Jeon Su-jong, thereby enrolling his deceased parents as members of the Daegu Honor Society. The Park and Jeon couple are the first deceased couple members of the Daegu Honor Society.

CEO Jeon said, “I think even more of my parents who used to smile brightly while helping neighbors. I decided to donate at that time to repay, even a little, the teachings of my parents,” adding, “I believe that one does not need to be well-off to help neighbors. I hope many people will join in sharing for the marginalized neighbors.”

The Honor Society is a group of ‘high-value individual donors’ established by the Community Chest of Korea to enable social leaders to take interest in social issues and participate in sharing movements, thereby practicing ‘noblesse oblige.’ Membership is available to those who donate 100 million won or more, or who pledge 20 million won annually for five years.
