Exploring Measures to Revitalize Education and More
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Lee Jeongseon, Superintendent of Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, held a joint meeting with the 5·18 organizations to brainstorm ways to revitalize education.
According to the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education on the 10th, Superintendent Lee arranged a meeting related to the May 18 Democratic Movement in his office that day.
The meeting was attended by Won Soonseok, Chairman of the 5·18 Memorial Foundation; Jo Jintae, Executive Director; Hwang Ilbong, President of the 5·18 Democratic Movement Disabled Veterans Association; Hong Sunbaek, Executive Vice Chairman of the 5·18 Democratic Merit Bereaved Families Association; Jeong Seongguk, Director of the 5·18 Democratic Movement Merit Association; and Choi Youngsoon, Director of Policy at the Metropolitan Office of Education.
Superintendent Lee emphasized that the May 18 Democratic Movement represents universal human values and discussed ways to revitalize education, including the globalization of the 5·18 movement.
