Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event Held at Masan Fish Market
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam, together with the Masan Fish Market Merchants Association, will hold an Onnuri Gift Certificate refund event for the Lunar New Year holiday from the 14th to the 21st, lasting 8 days.
This event is implemented to revitalize traditional markets and stabilize seafood prices. When purchasing domestic seafood at traditional markets, up to 30% of the amount (with a limit of 20,000 KRW per person) will be refunded.
Masan Fish Market previously held the 'Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event for Kimchi-making Season,' which received high consumer response. With a total refund support of 46 million KRW, the event was successfully completed, and the market was selected again as a participating market for this Lunar New Year refund event.
The refund amounts based on purchase amounts are as follows: ▲ 20,000 KRW for purchases of 68,000 KRW or more ▲ 15,000 KRW for purchases between 51,000 KRW and less than 68,000 KRW ▲ 10,000 KRW for purchases between 34,000 KRW and less than 51,000 KRW ▲ 5,000 KRW for purchases between 17,000 KRW and less than 34,000 KRW.
However, the refund is limited only to purchases of domestic seafood, and amounts spent at general restaurants such as sashimi restaurants are excluded from this event.
Je Jong-nam, Director of the Marine Port and Fisheries Bureau, said, “I hope this event will somewhat ease the burden of holiday prices. I wish all citizens a joyful Lunar New Year holiday with their families.”
Changwon City plans to form an on-site inspection team to conduct surprise inspections to manage unfair refund situations such as the sale of imported products and duplicate support, ensuring a fair event.
