[Asia Economy Reporter Byeon Seon-jin] On the 9th, the positive rate of arrivals from China who were immediately tested at the airport was found to be 5.5%. Despite additional high-intensity quarantine measures, the airport test positive rate has been fluctuating and has remained in the single digits for two consecutive days.

According to the Central Disease Control Headquarters on the 10th, among 1,403 people who arrived at Incheon International Airport from China the previous day, 401 short-term foreign residents underwent PCR testing at the airport test center, and 22 were confirmed positive. The airport test positive rate was 5.5%. This is an increase compared to the previous day (3.9%), which was the lowest since the high-intensity quarantine measures for arrivals from China were implemented on the 2nd.

Since the 2nd, a total of 9,802 people have arrived at the airport from China. The cumulative airport test positive rate for short-term residents is 17.5% (390 out of 2,224), showing a decreasing trend as the airport test positive rate has been in the single digits for two consecutive days.

Meanwhile, the total number of overseas imported confirmed cases on this day was 87, down by 22 from the previous day (9th). Among them, 53 (60.9%) were arrivals from China, including short-term foreign residents confirmed positive at the airport test center, Chinese nationals confirmed at public health centers, and long-term foreign residents. The number of overseas imported confirmed cases increased after PCR testing became mandatory for arrivals from China starting on the 2nd, but has gradually decreased since the submission of a negative test certificate before entry was required from the 5th.
