Ulsan Petrochemical Company Investment Support 'Troubleshooter' Emerges... Dedicated Special Team Formed Ulsan City Hall.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City has completed the formation of a 'Special Support Team for Petrochemical Companies' to actively support new business investments by domestic and international petrochemical companies and has begun full-scale operations.


The special team consists of three members: two Grade 5 administrative officers from the Ulsan City Industry Bureau's Key Industries Division and one Grade 6 facilities (civil engineering) officer.


These members are experienced employees in tasks such as site development, various permits for factory establishment, and impact assessments related to environment, disaster, and traffic according to relevant laws.


The main roles include △supporting site development permit matters △building permits for factory establishment △supporting various impact assessments (environment, disaster, traffic) according to relevant laws.


The investment projects by petrochemical companies currently promoted by Ulsan City are key projects leading the major transformation of the industrial structure toward eco-friendly and advanced industries, such as hydrogen, secondary batteries, and plastic recycling businesses.


An official from Ulsan City stated, “The special team was formed through staff appointments earlier this year,” and added, “Depending on the success of the projects, we expect it to play a very important role in leading the re-leap of Ulsan’s industry and creating jobs.”
