Integrated Management of Dedicated Lines and Multi-Cloud on a Single Portal
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] LG Uplus announced on the 10th that its cloud network integration solution, 'Uplus (U+) Cloud Multi-Connect,' has surpassed 300 lines in just over five months since its launch.
'U+ Cloud Multi-Connect' is an enterprise solution that allows the use of various public clouds through a single line. It eliminates the hassle of building and managing separate dedicated lines for each cloud and reduces the cost of specialized IT personnel for maintenance and support. Another advantage is the ability to utilize multiple clouds in a customized manner.
As of the end of last month, the number of subscribers to U+ Cloud Multi-Connect exceeded 60 companies, with over 300 lines. This represents a 130% increase compared to July 2022, when the solution was launched. It is about twice the growth rate compared to the number of existing single cloud connection lines.
Recently, there has been a growing demand from companies and institutions to use both on-premise systems, which build and operate physical server systems in their data centers, and public clouds, which offer scalability and easy accessibility. Market research firm Verified Market Research projected that the global multi-cloud management market size will grow from $2.2501 billion in 2020 to over $19.2 billion by 2028.
LG Uplus provides customized solutions to various corporate customers. While it is common for LG Uplus to offer solutions to corporate customers through a single dedicated line, it also provides the U+ Cloud Multi-Connect solution to customers who want to use it as a corporate dedicated internet service rather than connecting to multiple cloud providers with two or more dedicated lines.
LG Uplus explained, "With the increase in subscribers, we have advanced the monitoring system to enhance the convenience of customers' solution operation management," adding, "Customers using the solution combined with our dedicated lines can now monitor and manage it in real time through the U+ Cloud Multi-Connect dedicated portal."
