[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City is implementing a comprehensive citizen life plan to prevent the resurgence of COVID-19 ahead of the upcoming Seollal holiday.
Dong-gu has designated the period from the 10th to the 24th as the comprehensive citizen life plan period for the Seollal holiday and has established 23 detailed plans across 8 areas: ▲COVID-19 prevention ▲safety accident prevention ▲local price management ▲traffic order maintenance ▲welfare facility visits ▲emergency response establishment ▲creating a pleasant urban environment ▲and establishing public service discipline.
Additionally, to prevent any administrative gaps during the Seollal holiday period, a comprehensive situation room will be set up and operated by deploying over 120 personnel across 8 fields including general affairs, traffic, cleaning, medical care, and disaster management.
With concerns over the resurgence of COVID-19 due to the recent surge of overseas entrants from China and the emergence of variant viruses, special quarantine inspections will be conducted, screening clinics will operate normally, and the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters will be maintained on a 24-hour emergency infectious disease communication system.
Furthermore, special crackdowns on traffic congestion areas, visits to neighbors in need and protection facilities, garbage collection during the holiday period, formation of mobile medical teams at health centers, operation of hospital emergency treatment information centers, and strengthening of public service discipline and inspection activities will be carried out to prepare for various situations that may arise before and after the holiday.
