[Asia Economy Reporter Sim Nayoung] Choi Yusam (57), former Director of Structural Improvement Policy at the Financial Services Commission, has been inaugurated as the 3rd President of the Korea Credit Information Services. After starting work on the 9th, President Choi stated in his inaugural speech, "The Credit Information Services will support digital and data-driven financial innovation as a data infrastructure and platform for the financial industry."
President Choi said, "We will strengthen various corporate finance infrastructures to eliminate blind spots in corporate data and support smooth funding, continuously expand specialized areas such as building financial AI support systems, and enhancing systems for the expansion and utilization of high-quality credit information."
He added, "We will do our best to ensure there is no negligence in protecting financial consumers, maintain a thorough response posture against evolving security threats, and support all employees to develop solid work capabilities as digital experts."
President Choi's term is three years. Born in 1966, President Choi is from Seoul and graduated from Daekwang High School and Seoul National University with a degree in Business Administration. He passed the 37th Administrative Examination and has held positions such as Director of Global Finance, Director of Fair Market, Director of Financial Consumer Affairs, Head of Capital Market Investigation Team, and Director of Structural Improvement Policy at the Financial Services Commission.
