[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] AI beauty/healthcare company Lululab is strengthening its digital healthcare business by starting skin health checkups in collaboration with digital healthcare specialist Hancom Carelink.
On the 9th, Lululab announced that on the 6th, at CES 2023, the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA, it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hancom Carelink to establish a cooperative relationship in the digital healthcare field.
Hancom Carelink, an affiliate of Hancom Group, has partnered with over 500 medical institutions nationwide and is expanding personalized healthcare services through its health checkup management platform 'CareHealth' and genomic analysis service 'Hancom Gx.'
Lululab will provide AI skin analysis as a health checkup item through Hancom Carelink's hospital and clinic network. Through this, the two companies plan to jointly develop differentiated services that can be offered to hospitals and clinics by combining skin data with health checkup data. Furthermore, by linking with genomic analysis data, they plan to promote various digital healthcare businesses domestically and internationally, utilizing both companies' technological capabilities and sales power, including the discovery of skin-related genetic markers and the development of skin analysis algorithms.
Cheon Chang-gi, CEO of Hancom Carelink, said, "The speed at which competitiveness in the medical service industry is transitioning to digital is accelerating," and added, "Through this agreement, we hope to develop a unique digital healthcare business model and achieve mutual growth for both organizations." Lululab CEO Choi Yong-jun also stated, "Skin health checkups will be an effective means to promote digital K-culture integrated with AI," and "We will turn skin health checkups into a K-content, establish overseas bases, and spread it worldwide."
