[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] This year, the security market is expected to be led by artificial intelligence (AI)-based video analysis solutions. On the 9th, S-1 disclosed the results of a 'security awareness' survey conducted on 850,000 customers, revealing this outlook. The survey was conducted to predict changes and forecast trends in the security market this year.

Based on the survey results, S-1 forecasted this year's security market trends as ▲AI-based video analysis solutions leading the market ▲Safety-related solutions gaining attention ▲Continued popularity of contactless solutions ▲Physical security driving growth in the security market. When S-1 asked its security service users 'Which service would you like to improve this year?', the responses were ▲facial recognition access control (29.2%) ▲intelligent CCTV (7.3%) in that order. The common feature of these solutions is that they are equipped with AI technology. An S-1 official explained, "AI technology automatically recognizes abnormal situations such as theft, intrusion, and falls, enhancing not only safety but also convenience for users and managers," adding, "This year, AI-based solutions that satisfy both safety and convenience will gain popularity."

Following a series of disasters and accidents last year, social interest in safety-related solutions that can prevent such incidents is expected to intensify. In response to the question 'Have you ever felt anxious due to recent disasters or accidents?', 59.1% answered 'Yes.' When asked 'Which safety-related solution would you like to improve this year?', the responses were ▲disaster prevention monitoring solutions (65.9%) ▲intelligent CCTV (18.9%) ▲vehicle operation management solutions (5.9%) in that order.

Also, when asked 'After the pandemic, which lifestyle pattern do you prefer between face-to-face and non-face-to-face?', 67.2% answered 'prefer non-face-to-face.' The 'contactless solutions you want to improve this year' were ▲facial recognition access control solutions (73.2%) ▲mobile cards (12.1%) ▲video conferencing solutions (6.3%) ▲remote work management solutions (6.0%) in that order.

In response to the question 'Which security service would you like to improve this year?', only 9.4% chose information security such as ▲network security (5.8%) and ▲PC security (3.6%), whereas 79.4% of respondents chose physical security such as ▲CCTV (39.7%) and ▲access control solutions (28.5%).
