"Server Issues" NongHyup Bank Postpones Some Online Recruitment Exams by One Week

NH Nonghyup Bank conducted an online exam on the 8th for the recruitment of new employees (level 6), but the exam was interrupted due to server issues.

Nonghyup held the written exam for new hires online for the first time to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to increase participation. However, during the morning session, while carrying out identity verification and other preparatory procedures, a problem occurred with the server of the outsourcing company, causing the exam to be halted. Accordingly, Nonghyup informed the morning exam candidates that the exam would be postponed by one week. The afternoon exam reportedly proceeded without any issues.

Nonghyup stated that although multiple tests were conducted in advance while preparing for the online written exam, an abnormality occurred on the outsourcing company's server on the day of the exam. Since the level 6 new employees are recruited by regional units at the city and province level, they explained that there was no fairness issue between the morning and afternoon exam candidates.

The morning exam candidates were applicants from the Gyeonggi, Chungbuk, Chungnam, Jeonbuk, Jeonnam, Daejeon, and Gwangju regions. The afternoon candidates from Gangwon, Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, Seoul, Busan, Daegu, and Ulsan took the written exam as scheduled.
