Usangbeom "Chinese Secret Police, There Are More Than One Suspicious Points"

"The Republic of Korea Boasts Loudly as the Subject of Suspicion"
"If True, It Constitutes Sovereignty Violation and Interference in Internal Affairs"

[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] On the 8th, Yoo Sang-beom, a member of the People Power Party, pointed out on social media (SNS) regarding the suspicion of operating a secret Chinese police station, "The Chinese restaurant owner, who is the subject of the suspicion, held a paid explanatory meeting and strongly denied all allegations, but there are more than just one or two suspicious points."

Yoo criticized, calling it "a Korea where the suspect becomes loud."

Yoo said, "China is operating secret police stations worldwide, and a large Chinese restaurant located by the Han River in Jamsil has been identified as a suspicious base," adding, "Outwardly, it performs consular duties such as issuing driver's licenses, but it is suspected of monitoring and suppressing Chinese dissidents and even forcibly repatriating them. If true, this is a serious matter involving infringement of sovereignty and interference in internal affairs."

Yoo pointed out, "Conducting overseas transfer of Chinese nationals without the approval of the Korean government, even if humanitarian, violates the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations," and added, "Regarding activities beyond the residence status granted upon entering Korea, since permission from the Minister of Justice was not obtained, it also violates the Immigration Control Act."

Yoo said, "Above all, who could operate such an 'unrestrained' business running a large Chinese restaurant in Korea for several years without paying monthly rent and installing unauthorized offices and lodging facilities in some spaces? It must be a very bold Chinese person."

Yoo explained, "At the full meeting of the Intelligence Committee on the 5th, the National Intelligence Service also reported that they are 'deeply and thoroughly investigating' and that there are many discrepancies in the Chinese restaurant owner's rebuttal press conference."

Yoo warned, "Since President Xi Jinping's administration, China has been criticized for illegally infiltrating major countries overseas. Is Korea really an exception? China is close, but we must never forget that it is a country we must always be wary of."
