[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] LG Uplus announced on the 8th that it has launched a new advertisement for the customized subscription service ‘Yudok’ featuring actor Son Seok-gu.
Yudok is a customer-tailored service that resolves inconveniences experienced in existing subscription services, allowing customers to conveniently subscribe to only the services they want at a reasonable price. Customers can select and subscribe to only the services they need according to their lifestyle and manage them on a single screen. Subscription and cancellation of subscription products are simple, and anyone can use the service regardless of their telecommunications provider.
Yudok was planned as part of LG Uplus’s company-wide campaign ‘WHY NOT?’ as a bold challenge for enjoyable changes in customers’ daily lives. This advertisement featuring Yudok’s exclusive model, actor Son Seok-gu, was produced to promote Yudok’s advantage of ‘boundary-crossing subscription management,’ where customers can change their subscription products monthly and receive discounts. This is the second advertisement starring Son Seok-gu since Yudok’s launch in July last year, and it can be viewed on LG Uplus’s YouTube channel and other platforms.
Before producing this advertisement, LG Uplus collected feedback from Yudok users and analyzed related data to create the core message of ‘boundary-crossing subscription management,’ based on the strengths customers feel about Yudok: ‘easily changing subscriptions monthly according to lifestyle and receiving discounts while managing subscriptions.’ The advertisement focuses on showing actor Son Seok-gu enjoying different subscription services each month tailored to his lifestyle.
Jang Jun-young, Head of IMC at LG Uplus (Executive Director), said, “We will carry out advertisements that properly convey the advantages of Yudok, which offers ‘boundary-crossing subscription management’ that fits lifestyles and provides discounts, and continue the WHY NOT campaign unique to Uplus that creates enjoyable changes in customers’ daily lives.”
Meanwhile, the services provided by Yudok include over 70 options such as ▲OTT & Music (Netflix, YouTube Premium, Disney+, TVING, Everyone’s Discount Pack), ▲Self-Development (Ridiselect, Class101+, Siwon School, Outstanding), ▲Travel (Interpark accommodation discount coupons, Socar, Campjigi), ▲Pets (Podong, Happy Dog TV, About Pet, ANF, Izkan, Halo, Dr. Momma), ▲Food (GS25, Yogiyo, CJ The Market, CJ Dining, Pulmuone, Illy, Paul Bassett, Aging Ground), ▲Books & Articles (Blyce Select, Willa), ▲Leisure (The Fair Golf Apparel, Interpark Topping Membership), ▲Convenience (Laundry Special Forces, Substitute Housekeeper), ▲Fashion & Beauty (Olive Young, Lookpin, Wiggle Wiggle), and ▲Kids (Ttalgi Kong, Kindo, Oibos, Angpang, Dagrin, Mom’s Conviction, Flipbox).
