Boseong-gun Emerges as the Prime Location for 2023 Winter Training Camps

Contributing to Local Economic Revitalization and Promotion through Hosting Winter Training Teams

[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it has successfully attracted about 10 teams for the 2023 winter training camps in weightlifting, soccer, baseball, etc., and is expected to contribute to revitalizing the local economy and promoting Boseong-gun.

Recently, three weightlifting teams, four soccer teams, and one baseball team are currently training or scheduled to visit Boseong-gun.

From the 29th to the 4th, the weightlifting team from Gyeonggi Physical Education Middle and High School visited, and the Armed Forces Athletic Corps started training at the Boseong Multipurpose Training Center from the 2nd.

Boseong-gun has reinforced various sports facilities such as the Boseong Multipurpose Training Center, Beolgyo Ecological Park Soccer Field, and Hoecheon Ecological Park Baseball Field to attract training camps.

In particular, groups that stay and dine in the area for more than five days, and those participating in county representative player selection or training for competitions at the national (provincial) level or higher are granted a full waiver of sports facility usage fees.

With active support and cooperation such as providing green tea beverages, earphones designed with the BS Samchongsa, and Boseong kiwi?tourism products of Boseong?many teams are visiting Boseong-gun again this year following last year.

In 2022, about 40 teams and approximately 4,700 athletes visited Boseong-gun for training, which led to revitalization of the local economy and received favorable reviews from residents. This winter training camp attraction is also expected to contribute to the sales and promotion of local specialties through visits by athletes and their families.

Meanwhile, Boseong-gun is making every effort to ensure that winter training teams can focus on their training by establishing COVID-19 quarantine measures and safety management plans to prevent disasters and accidents.
