[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] The Korea Internet Corporations Association announced on the 6th that it will hold a "Discussion Forum to Promote Policies and Institutionalization of Digital Therapeutics (DTx)."
The forum will be held on the 11th at 10 a.m. in the 2nd Conference Room of the National Assembly Members' Office Building. It is co-hosted by Baek Jongheon, a member of the People Power Party, Lee Byunghoon, a member of the Democratic Party, and the Korea Internet Corporations Association.
At this forum, organized to explore directions for promoting policies and institutionalization of the domestic DTx industry, presentations will be given by Professor Park Myungcheol of Kyungwoon University, Professor Han Deokhyun of Chung-Ang University, and Kang Seongji, CEO of Welt, on topics such as ways to revitalize the domestic DTx industry. Following the presentations, a panel discussion will be held, moderated by Professor Kim Chiyong of Dong-Eui University, with panelists including Professor Lee Donggyu of Dong-A University, Lee Youngmin, Director of the Game Content Industry Division at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Jeong Junhwa, Legislative Research Officer at the National Assembly Legislative Research Office, Cha Yunseon, Director at George Mason University Korea, and Chae Kyuhan, Director of the Medical Device Policy Division at the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, to discuss building the DTx ecosystem and market development.
A representative of the Internet Corporations Association stated, "DTx is an innovative strategic industry emerging as an alternative to the entire medical system beyond third-generation therapeutics," adding, "We expect that this forum will not only discuss building the domestic ecosystem but also various discussions on how Korea can become a global leader in the DTx market."
