[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] Prime Minister Han Duck-soo stated on the 6th regarding the lifting of the indoor mask-wearing mandate, "We will consider variables from China and make decisions after consulting experts."
Prime Minister Han made these remarks during a meeting with reporters at Incheon Airport quarantine site, which he visited again four days after his visit on the 2nd. Regarding the possibility of a large-scale COVID-19 outbreak in Korea due to arrivals from China, he said, "We are making our best efforts to prevent that from happening." He added, "Nearly 600 quarantine personnel and Incheon City are all fully committed to public safety, so I ask the public not to worry too much."

When asked if he visited the quarantine site again due to an urgent situation, Prime Minister Han replied, "The overall situation is somewhat improving," and added, "Since pre-departure testing started yesterday, I came to check how things are being handled."
