[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The permanent exhibition hall of Ulsan Museum, the ‘History Room,’ has unveiled a new look.
Ulsan Museum completed the first phase of the History Room improvement project, which began in the second half of last year, reorganizing the exhibition space from the prehistoric era to the Unified Silla period, and has reopened.
The main improvements in the first phase include enhancements to the entrance and timeline sections, and lowering the height of the artifact stands to make it easier and more enjoyable for visitors to view.
Artifacts that have been steadily collected since the museum’s opening were newly displayed, and the prehistoric section of Ulsan was strengthened with additional artifacts and explanations.
Additionally, detailed descriptions and videos about the artifacts were added to help visitors better understand the exhibition.
For child visitors, activity sheets were created so they can learn about Ulsan’s history and representative artifacts by completing the sheets themselves.
A Ulsan Museum official said, “We replaced some of the exhibition artifacts in the History Room that introduces Ulsan’s history and partially reorganized the exhibition space for a more comfortable viewing experience. Along with the renovation, we are also conducting various educational programs and professional guided tours by exhibition narrators.”
Following last year’s first phase of the History Room improvement project, Ulsan Museum will carry out the second phase this year, covering the Goryeo period through modern and contemporary times.
