[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) donated books from the 'GH Altteul Library' to the 'Gwanggyo Pureunsup Library' on the 5th.
The GH Altteul Library was operated from August to December last year as part of practicing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management. It was a campaign where employees donated books they no longer read but owned within the company and exchanged them with each other to promote the recycling of book resources.
The books donated to the Gwanggyo Pureunsup Library consist of about 150 volumes collected by employees during the operation period of the GH Altteul Library. The genres are diverse, including management and economics, self-development books, novels, and essays.
In particular, this campaign is meaningful in that, first, it fosters environmental protection and an in-house reading culture through voluntary book sharing and exchange activities by employees, and second, it contributes to resource recycling and the enhancement of the humanities knowledge of local residents by giving back to the community.
Kim Se-yong, President of GH, stated, "We will continue to practice together with our employees to contribute to the local community through various daily activities, such as environmental protection and the spread of a sharing culture."
