Lotte Chilsung Beverage announced on the 5th that its 'Byeolbit Cheongha,' launched in April last year, has sold a cumulative total of 10 million bottles in just over eight months since its release.
Byeolbit Cheongha is a product that mixes Lotte Chilsung Beverage's cheongju 'Cheongha' with white wine and carbonation, with an alcohol content of 7%. Previously, the demand for Byeolbit Cheongha surged, causing temporary shortages in some marts and pubs.
Lotte Chilsung Beverage plans to increase the supply of Byeolbit Cheongha by 1.5 times to meet demand and will carry out marketing activities through both online and offline channels.
A Lotte Chilsung Beverage representative said, "Sales of Byeolbit Cheongha are exceeding expectations," adding, "The success factors are analyzed to be the flavor targeting young consumers' preferences and the low-alcohol trend, product development aligned with this trend, bottle design that intuitively conveys the product's characteristics, and the existing brand power of Cheongha."
