[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Standigm, an AI new drug development company, announced on the 5th that it was mentioned as one of the top 10 key vendors related to Generative AI in a report by IT research firm Gartner.
Generative AI refers to AI tools that generate related texts, images, videos, code, etc., when given input text. Gartner has predicted that by 2025, 30% of messages sent by large enterprises will be generated through Generative AI.
Last month, Gartner emphasized the importance of adopting Generative AI technology for corporate innovation in its ‘2022 Key Technology Trends: Generative AI Report’ and introduced the fields where Generative AI has actually been adopted and the key vendors. Gartner noted that Generative AI is actively used in fields such as new drug development, healthcare, advertising, and design.
In this report, Gartner selected Standigm as one of the top 10 Generative AI startups and mentioned Standigm’s new substance design platform, Standigm BESTTM. The BEST platform possesses various generative models, including scaffold replacement technology that provides the greatest advantages in novelty, patentability, and backup plans for substances. This technology allows molecular structures to be modified at different levels?from the atomic level, the smallest unit of a molecule, to the scaffold level?according to the purpose when newly designing molecular structures. It can be used in all structural modification processes in the new drug discovery process, from hit substance discovery, lead substance discovery, to lead substance optimization. When combined with excellent efficacy and pharmacokinetic prediction models, this technology helps secure many superior lead substances and improves the efficiency of the new drug discovery process.
Jinhan Kim, CEO of Standigm, said, “It is significant that Standigm’s AI technology has been listed in a report by a globally verified institution,” and added, “Based on the excellence of our technology, we will accelerate our ongoing global business.”
