Callaway Golf Korea announced on the 4th that it will launch the 'Odyssey 2-Ball Eleven Putter,' which will set a new standard for mallet putters.

The putter being introduced this time was born by combining the head design of the 'Eleven' putter, which was released last year and used by many tour pros worldwide to win tournaments, with Odyssey's representative alignment technology, the '2-Ball' alignment technology.

The various materials used in the head design place the center of gravity (CG) nearly 0.5 inches forward, greatly improving the moment of inertia. The multi-material Stroke Lab shaft provides enhanced performance. Additionally, the steel portion is made shorter, reducing the weight by about 7g compared to the existing Stroke Lab shaft.

Odyssey's 2-Ball putter has continued to be loved even after 20 years since its release. The cumulative sales volume to date exceeds 5 million units. The history of the 2-Ball putter began with the 3-Ball putter developed by Dave Pelz, a former NASA research scientist. At that time, the 3-Ball putter improved putting success rates through precise alignment but was not approved because it did not comply with the USGA golf rules. Later, in 1997, Callaway Golf, which acquired Odyssey putters, purchased Pelz's patented technology and created the 2-Ball putter.

A Callaway Golf Korea official said, “The 2-Ball Eleven Putter was born by combining the latest mallet head design with Odyssey’s representative alignment technology, the 2-Ball alignment technology. We expect it to bring a new paradigm to the putter market with the changes in center of gravity design and the superior performance created by the 2-Ball alignment technology.”
