'Hero' Park Jin-joo, Did You Know She Sang This Well?

Actor Park Jin-joo delivered a powerful emotional performance in the film 'Hero'.


Released on the 21st of last month, the film 'Hero' depicts the unforgettable final year of An Jung-geun, who assassinated Ito Hirobumi in Harbin in October 1909, was sentenced to death by a Japanese court, and ultimately sacrificed his life. The film covers the period from when he was preparing for the act to the moment of his death. Upon release, it topped the Korean box office and is currently sailing smoothly with over 1.7 million viewers.

In the film, Park Jin-joo plays Ma Jin-joo, a comrade who cares for the independence fighters, delivering both subtle laughter and touching emotions, leaving a deep impression on the audience. She showcased excellent chemistry with actors Jo Woo-jin (playing Ma Du-sik) and Jo Jae-yoon (playing Woo Deok-soon), and brought a fresh yet heartbreaking romance with Lee Hyun-woo (playing Yoo Dong-ha), refreshing the atmosphere of the film.


Previously, Park Jin-joo demonstrated her outstanding vocal skills on the MBC variety show 'Hangout with Yoo'. In 'Hero', adapted from the musical of the same name, she excellently performed numbers such as 'Hungry Youth', 'Promising That Day', and 'Can I Believe This Is Love?'.


Through 'Hero', Park Jin-joo challenged herself with a new genre and expanded her acting spectrum. She fully immersed herself in the character of Ma Jin-joo, showcasing a wide range of emotions and enhancing the film's immersion, earning praise for her performance.
