On February 1, Lotte Entertainment announced on the 4th that the movie 'Babylon' will be released.

'Babylon,' the new work by director Damien Chazelle of 'La La Land' (2016) and 'Whiplash' (2015), depicts the story of people who gather in Hollywood?likened to the dazzling yet precarious ancient city of Babylon?fighting to achieve their dreams.

A glamorous production team has come together. Justin Hurwitz, the music director who has continuously collaborated with Damien Chazelle, reinterprets 1920s jazz sounds in a more modern way to create a new musical world. Hurwitz said, "I wondered what it would be like to combine the instrumentation of a 1920s jazz band with rock and roll and contemporary dance music. I was excited while working on it."

The actors also expressed satisfaction with the music. Margot Robbie said, "Undoubtedly, the music transcends the era," and Brad Pitt said, "Justin Hurwitz's music is so beautiful it gives me goosebumps."

The cinematography was handled by Linus Sandgren, the director of photography for 'La La Land,' 'First Man,' and '007 No Time to Die.' To vividly convey the grand panoramic views of Los Angeles, filming was done with anamorphic lenses to maximize color and contrast. Florencia Martin, the art director, conducted detailed research to closely analyze the architectural styles of LA at the time, ultimately creating film sets ranging from small, cramped apartments and elegant luxury homes to intense party venues.

Producer Matt Plopf said, "You will have an experience where you can smell, taste, and touch LA," and art director Florencia Martin expressed confidence, saying, "It has a scale comparable to legendary films."
