Crown Haitai Confectionery announced on the 4th that it will hold the '2nd Haneumhoe' performance with traditional music masters and singers at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts starting at 7:30 PM on the 11th.
This performance is a New Year's concert prepared as a traditional music performance by bringing together top masters and singers along with a private company to welcome the new year. Crown Haitai Confectionery, which has actively supported masters, singers, and traditional music, is part of a project to widely promote the new name of Korean traditional music, 'Haneum.'
The theme of the '2nd Haneumhoe' is 'Pansori.' It is a stage where you can enjoy the essence of Pansori, which fully embodies the joys and sorrows of our people.
The performance, composed of four acts, highlights the five major Pansori works?Chunhyangga, Jeokbyeokga, Sugungga, Heungboga, and Simcheongga?telling the story of Pansori's birth and its transmission and development as a national art.
Following Act 1, which is based on Chunhyangga performed at the feast grounds of the Joseon Dynasty aristocrats, Act 2 continues with the dynamic Jeokbyeokga. Act 3 features Sanjo music derived from Pansori and reenacts the Jeonju Daesaseupnori, the country's top Pansori competition, continuing with Sugungga (the Rabbit Monk section) and Heungboga (Hwacho Jang Taryeong). Act 4 recreates the complete performance of Simcheongga by master singer Park Dongjin, presenting the scene where Simbongsa opens his eyes.
Crown Haitai Confectionery plans to create more diverse performance opportunities so that many people can enjoy traditional music as 'Haneum' and showcase it on the world stage.
