[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Dabollink, a domestic wired and wireless internet router (AP) manufacturing company, announced on the 4th that it will showcase two types of Wi-Fi APs equipped with 'Wi-Fi 6' and 'Wi-Fi 6E' technologies at 'CES 2023,' the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition, held on the 5th.
Dabollink signed an exclusive contract with the US company Universal to use Minions character designs to expand its business from its core B2B sector to B2C. The newly released Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 6 APs feature designs of Kevin and BoB from the Minions series.
The Kevin and BoB APs incorporate hardware technology that maintains performance despite using built-in antennas, EasyMesh technology supporting wireless connections among multiple Wi-Fi APs, and network auto-optimization technology. These Wi-Fi control technologies allow even general users unfamiliar with Wi-Fi to easily set up or improve wireless internet service environments in homes, offices, and stores by installing two or more Wi-Fi APs without network cable connections.
A company representative explained, "The Minions APs for stores and offices automatically apply network settings optimized for various high-data-usage services such as OTT, video streaming, and gaming, which have recently seen increased usage, minimizing user inconvenience."
Starting with the debut of APs featuring Minions designs at CES 2023 in the US, Dabollink expects to make a splash in the domestic and overseas SOHO (Small Office Home Office) and SMB (Small & Medium Business) markets.
In addition to the two Minions Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E AP models, Dabollink plans to exhibit new products at CES 2023, including 'Enterprise Wi-Fi 6E' APs proven in the domestic public Wi-Fi market, 5G routers, and 'Wi-Fi 7' APs.
