Kumho HT Increases Production of Automotive Electronics and Battery Parts... "Expecting Sales Growth"

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Automotive parts company Kumho HT recently announced on the 4th that it has increased the operation of production lines for automotive electronic components and battery parts in preparation for the increase in electric vehicle production and the expansion of the supply chain for electronic components. The company is rapidly developing new businesses alongside its existing operations.

Since the fourth quarter of last year, the company has been actively producing battery parts such as BMS (Battery Management System) PCB ASSY and supplying them to new car mass production. A company official stated, “As the supply of electronic and battery parts is expected to expand for new cars launching this year, we are responding quickly by increasing production lines. We expect this increase in production volume from the first half of this year to have a positive impact on sales.”

Kumho HT is accelerating its battery parts business beyond its existing electronic components business. It is actively preparing new businesses in collaboration with its largest shareholder, automotive parts company S-Mac.

Meanwhile, S-Mac holds a 28.03% stake in Kumho HT. Based on the technology and know-how of its existing electronic components business, the company is pursuing business diversification including battery parts.
