Professor Lee Sujeong Analyzes Taxi Driver Murderer Lee Giyeong's Personality
"The Owner of the Other Female Bloodstain Must Be Confirmed"
[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] Professor Lee Soo-jung of the Department of Criminal Psychology at Kyonggi University stated in an interview on CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show' on the 4th that the criminal tendencies of Lee Ki-young, who is accused of murdering a taxi driver, resemble a mixed type of serial killers' tendencies.
Professor Lee analyzed, "From my perspective, including (Yoo Young-chul, Kang Ho-soon) and Jeong Nam-gyu, it seems like a mixed type of those three categories, but unlike them, this person appears to be much more instant and less meticulous."
Professor Lee said, "His encounters were very impulsive, and although he was married once, it did not last long. After that, it seems he mostly contacted helper women."
Professor Lee stated, "He was someone who was extremely impulsive and obsessed with instant meetings, and also tried to secure living expenses through them. These are characteristics of this person," adding, "The charge of robbery-murder should definitely be included. Once robbery-murder is involved, the sentence will be significantly longer."
Professor Lee said, "There is a woman who was briefly confirmed to have dated him and is still alive, a current girlfriend, and Lee’s mother has also visited briefly. Therefore, given the likelihood, the DNA from the additional female bloodstain will probably match someone," adding, "Fortunately, if it ends that way, it could be concluded that only two people were murdered, which I also hope for."
Professor Lee emphasized, "In any case, since the blunt weapon is inside the house, the owner of the remaining female bloodstain must be confirmed."
Meanwhile, Lee Ki-young is suspected of murdering at least two people, including his cohabiting partner and a taxi driver. Lee Ki-young stated that he buried his cohabiting partner’s body near a river in Paju, and the police are currently searching the site.
