Providing Export Logistics Costs with Customized Support by Capability
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced on the 4th that it is recruiting companies to participate in the New Year Export Voucher Program to strengthen the export competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies. The Export Voucher Program, initiated by the government in 2017, supports marketing services necessary for the entire export process, from export preparation to entry into overseas markets.
The Export Voucher Program being recruited this time includes the ‘Industrial Global Expansion Capability Enhancement Project,’ which supports SMEs and mid-sized companies in the fields of ▲materials, parts, and equipment ▲consumer goods ▲services ▲green sectors, and the ‘Logistics-Only Export Voucher Program,’ which supports export logistics costs for SMEs and mid-sized companies.
The Industrial Global Expansion Capability Enhancement Project has established a three-stage support system?entry, growth, and expansion?from this year to enable full-cycle export support tailored to companies’ overseas expansion capabilities. The Logistics-Only Export Voucher Program provides vouchers of up to 20 million KRW to SMEs and mid-sized companies facing logistics difficulties, helping exporters reduce various export-related costs they bear.
KOTRA will hold an online briefing session related to this Export Voucher Program on the 6th. Applications will be accepted from interested companies until the 20th.
Jeon Chunwoo, Head of KOTRA’s SME and Mid-sized Enterprise Division, said, “The Export Voucher Program is a demand-customized project that allows companies to select and use the services they need for export,” adding, “Although export conditions are bleak due to the global economic slowdown, we will strive to become a beacon that illuminates the export path for domestic SMEs and mid-sized companies.”
