NCCK Mourns Death of Benedict XVI... Will Remember His Practical Life

[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The National Council of Churches in Korea (NCCK) expressed condolences and sent a message of comfort on the passing of former Pope Benedict XVI.


On the 3rd, NCCK stated, "We will long remember the priestly life and practice of the Pope, who led the dialogue and cooperation between the Catholic Church and the ecumenical faith communities during his lifetime," adding, "(The Pope's dedication) will be recorded as a great achievement and legacy in the ecumenical movement landscape toward church unity in various regions of the world."


They continued, "The theological legacy left by the Pope, his simple love and peace of Christ, and the spirit of humility toward the lowly are the heritage of all ecumenical faith communities and will continue to be remembered as a path of life we must practice," and expressed, "We earnestly pray that he may rest forever in peace in God's embrace."
